March 13, 2020  Update

Currently, our facilities do NOT have any confirmed cases of COVID-19.  This is in part because our families and friends are following our limited visitation policy.  Governor Holcomb, governor of Indiana, has announced new criteria that support nursing facility and hospital visitor limitations in the state of Indiana.  Visitors are not allowed (no exceptions) if they present with any of the following criteria:

  • Display signs or symptoms of illness, especially respiratory illness
  • Have traveled internationally or been in contact with someone with a respiratory illness in the past 14 days
  • Reside in a community with a known COVID-19 case
  • Those who are less than 18 years of age
  • Those who are less than 18 years of age are highlighted because these criteria were just released in Indiana today.   Also, our staff will not be allowed to bring in their children if they are under the age of 18.

We will continue to update our social media pages and websites as information is made available to us.  We encourage our families and friends to call, facetime or send ecards to stay in touch and connected with your loved one.  THANK YOU for helping us protect our Residents and staff!

March 10, 2020 River Terrace Retirement Community New Visitation Guidelines

As a valued member of our facility family, we appreciate the trust you place in us to care for your loved ones. Your Resident’s health and safety is our number one priority. After carefully reviewing information on the Coronavirus (COVID-19) provided by the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and from the American Health Care Association (AHCA), we request that family and friends do not visit our facility. Out of an abundance of caution, we are limiting all visitors for urgent needs only such as end of life or if a visit is necessary for a Resident’s wellbeing. Signs will be posted on our entryway doors to notify visitors of this policy. Anyone who comes into the facility will be screened to ensure they are not exhibiting any symptoms which could potentially put our Residents at risk.

Families will receive weekly updates and we will contact our families directly when the visiting restriction has been lifted. We encourage our families to call, facetime or send ecards as a way to stay in touch and connected with your loved one. Please reach out to the facility administrator with any questions or concerns you may have. Thank you, in advance, for helping us protect our Residents.
